The bougatsa cream pies, layered with perfectly crisp filo pastry, offer a sublime balance between creaminess and crunch that will leave you craving more. The savoury selections are equally enticing, with cheese, spinach, and ham, cheese & tomato pies showcasing hearty Mediterranean flavours wrapped in golden crusts.
Coffee lovers will find themselves spoiled for choice, with offerings ranging from the classic cappuccino and flat white to the uniquely aromatic Greek coffee. The Freddo espresso and coffee frappe provide refreshingly cool alternatives, perfectly crafted to enliven your senses on warmer days. As one loyal visitor, Aldo, remarked, the coffees are “rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, with a velvety latte that rivals any specialty cup.”
Regulars rave about the delightful boulangerie-style treats like croissants and koulouri – a sesame-seeded bread ring bursting with a nutty crunch. One reviewer even described the “tahini bun” as indulgently sweet and sesame-packed, a true testament to the café’s dedication to authentic Mediterranean ingredients. Newcomers will also appreciate the variety of sweet crepes topped with creative spreads such as Nutella, awberry jam, and ricotta, turning any visit into a playful sensory adventure.
Beyond the food and drink, it’s the space itself that many customers cherish. The generous garden seating area is a peaceful escape from the bustle of Cambridge, providing a sunny terrace with plenty of room to relax, work, or catch up with friends. Mark Farrington praises the “very friendly cafe with extra seating available […] and very fair prices,” while Leila Javadi Shalkuhi highlights the special vibe—the kind that makes even home-brewed coffee pale in comparison.
Mill Mediterranean Coffee Spot is more than a place to grab a quick cup; it’s a little sanctuary for those who appreciate thoughtful, handcrafted fare infused with warm hospitality. Whether you’re after a slow morning ritual or a deliciously satisfying afternoon break, this café’s Mediterranean charm and genuine character invite you to savour every sip and bite.
Very friendly cafe with fine (and some quite unusual) pastries and excellent coffee. Extra seating available next door and in the pleasant garden. Very fair prices.
I recently visited this charming little café tucked away in the heart of the city, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The cozy atmosphere, with its warm lighting, comfy seating, and subtle jazz playing in the background, made it the perfect spot to unwind. The coffee was exceptional—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, with a velvety latte that rivaled any I've had in specialty shops. I paired it with their homemade avocado toast on sourdough, topped with fresh herbs and a poached egg; it was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations without being pushy. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the outdoor seating is a bonus on sunny days.
Heavenly spot with delicious food options and a courtyard. The tahini bun is indulgent. Very sesame, delightfully sweet. The peinirli has a sweeter dough than I expected. Not really a pizza dough as I was told. Interesting experience. A little sweet for me but the crunchy crust and moist texture are enjoyable. There’s also some wheat aroma. Greek coffee was good. Even the powder wasn’t bitter. My friend says the pumpkin pie is tasty too. Everything looks tempting. I ended up having another koulouri, which always attracts my eyes when I pass by. The people are super nice.
One of my favourite hidden gems in Cambridge! The bougatsa and filo pastry pies are amazing, great coffee too. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy, with a relaxed sunny terrace with plenty of space. Attentive staff, very quick service, great prices and tasty Mediterranean food. Super recommended!
This coffee shop is one of the best you can find in all of Cambridge—it's my favourite spot. They have a big garden where you can smoke and enjoy your coffee for hours. The coffee is so good that I even bought their beans and grind them at home, but it still can’t compete with the vibe and cosiness of the shop. Somehow it makes the coffee taste even more special. The staff are incredibly kind and great, and the combination of their hospitality, the space itself, the atmosphere, and how clean everything is truly makes it the best place in Cambridge.
Interesting Cafe It's so nice to see different styles on the streets. The pastries were fresh come out from the oven when we arrived. Still hot when delivered to our table. I wondered if they would heat their pastries in case the customers ask. I always want my pastries hot. There were different styles of pastries, from savoury to sweet. Probably would take a while to try all of them. There were a lot of packed products too, but I have no idea how good are they. They look interesting and attractive. But you know, the packs are a bit large, what if they are not good enough? So it's going to be a 'yes' when you ask me if I will return this cafe.
One of my favourite places in Cambridge. I've been here many times, it's become my 'retreat'! On a sunny summer's day, there's no better way to spend an hour or so than sitting in their big coffee garden in the back, sipping a Freddo Cappuccino with a spanakopita, hearing people around you laughing and talking, while listening to chilled beats on their sound system. There's a real vibe about the place - it really feels like a slice of Mediterranean life in Cambridge. I'm working my way around their extensive selection of pastries but my favourites are the portokalopita (orange cake) and the spanakopita (feta and spinach pie). The former is very sweet and syrupy - so you'll need a sweet tooth, and maybe someone to share with! The latter has become my favourite pick-up lunch on a Sunday afternoon: baked on site (I think), super flaky with loads of filling and loads of crunchy texture. Staff have always been friendly and efficient. Prices are extremely reasonable too - probably the best value bite for lunch in the area. Trust me, come and sit in the garden when the sun is out - as I am while writing this - and see how long it takes you to start searching for flights. Photos from a few different trips.
This is the best café in Cambridge! The food is delicious, and there’s a great variety of options for meals, drinks, and cakes. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. The café also has a lovely garden; perfect for relaxing and enjoying your coffee with friends. Highly recommend!
